Okay I'm on a thread reading through the same old same old mundane boring fighting arguing and backstabbing to the face when suddenly a remarkable thing is revealed:

Shiver me timbers but "Winston Smith" is the "OFM"… me I never saw that coming!

It was like all time stood still for a moment and the music from "The Crying Game" was playing in the back ground…

So who else is who else?

I would like an account for the business, and one for personal hobby. I don't do that because, it is unfair, for me to have two votes.

I don't have a problem with sock puppetry, if it doesn't abuse or harm others.

Honestly, John has always been upfront about both of his accounts and why he has two of them. No sneakiness or sock puppetry going on with him. Just like whenever I talk about Dark Age Games or Workdworks Ganes, I always put in a disclaimer about my association with them (previous game developer for Dark Age, current playtester and forum moderator for Worldworks.)

On past work computers I have been Cat Shannon, William Pitt the Eldar, Frodo Corleone and a few others.
Now on my cell phone I am Winston Smith.

I only vote once in polls.

No, not at all.

I submit that I do not fit the strict TMP definition of "sock puppeting" because my intent is not to deceive. And I am not "agreeing with myself", I am merely continuing the conversation, albeit wearing Grouch glasses.
I do not change my style, or my views.
Also if you click on Winston Smith's identity, it says under Real Name "John the OFM". I/we often use the "Royal We" in our posts.

If this is a problem with Dear Editor in Chief, he can tell me to cease and desist, and then I will have to figure out how to post from my work cell.

"We" have been outed on Frothers. They know who "we" are.

On a serious note I should say on the thread in question the OFM was the one who "revealed himself to everyone" ..ahem I mean…he well anyway you know what I mean…

I was so used to reading Winston and never suspecting that it was the OFM…

Anyway this situation has thought me a valuable lesson about the evils of sock puppetry… I will be on the look out for any double agent, doople-ganger, two faced alter egos that may be circulating this fine place

We went to Portmeirion in North Wales last week as part of our holiday.

We have never argued so I'll give you a rule to live by in case we do…
You'll know it's me because my logical argument will make you feel totally insignificant.
If you feel that you've "won" the argument then obviously someone has "hacked" my account.
