As the title says, do Essex and Museum miniatures mix well and what about Donnington New Era?

If anyone can help I will be forever grateful!

Rhys

My experience mostly in ranges like NKE, etc….Museum tends to be tall and lanky compared to Essex short and squat/heavy. Each has their own merits, but I don't mix'em.

Ditto what CB said. Even in separate units when you place them side by side, as in a battleline, the Museums are noticeably taller.

Thanks very to you both, much appreciated.

Also, different Museum ranges are different sizes while Essex is pretty consistent. Their foot tend to mix better, but it depends on the range.

Thanks Mirosav.

You can mix them well, provided you "plinth" your Essex guys – I stand them on a piece of card from cereal boxes, and their heads end up closer in height. You can do the same with odd-sized horses too.

I like the variety of poses I get by mixing figures, and even the occasional 20mm guy can be made to blend into a mass, and once the battle lines are arrayed, you really can't tell.
