Hello,

The latest Alpha Strike rules have revitalized Battletech gaming for me. The quick play nature of the system means brining auxiliary units such infantry, artillery, and aerospace assets onto the table is much more practical. After a nasty encounter with Inner sphere infantry, proxied by my Epic Space Marine miniatures, Clan commanders demanded their own infantry to support them.

When I received the Battle Armor from Ironwind metal I felt they were too large. They seemed out of scale with the other infantry I was using. I searched around and I found a suitable substitute using the Onslaught Miniatures Ronin Support Rigs. I also wanted to mention the great customer service from Onslaught when they corrected an issue with the order quickly and easily.

Here is my Binary Of Elementals with a command point to spare.

Here is how they stack up against the Clan mechs they will be supporting. I have also included the standard Battle Armor from Ironwind as a comparison. The mechs are the work of the Minichopshop and not my work. I was happy to find a good color match to work with the whole force.

The more I see those the more I'm digging them, and I like the colors. I've been thinking of getting the 6mm SF3D/MAK looking power armor figs from Brigade Models for a while, just lacking the funds, but I think I like these better. Also Onslaught is in the states so I don't have to worry as much about postage and conversion rates.
