Many thanks for the positive feedback all!
The paints used were:
I primed the model in black spray paint.
SKIN: Basecoated in Citadel Bugman's Glow : Washed in Citadel Reikland Fleshshade : Layered in Bugman's Glow again but leaving the darkest recesses : Layered with Citadel Cadian Fleshtone : Sharp highlights with Citadel Kislev Flesh
BROWN JACKET: Based in Citadel Steel Legion Drab : Washed with Army Painter Strong Tone ink : Layered in Steel Legion Drab : Highlighted with a 50/50 mix of Steel Legion Drab and Citadel Ushabti Bone
GREEN JACKET / CAPS (Not pictured but worked this out after): Based in Citadel Death World Forest : Washed in AP Strong Tone ink : Layered with Death World Forest : Highlighted with Citadel Ogryn Camo
TROUSERS: Based with Citadel Zandri Dust : Washed in AP Strong Tone ink : Layered with Zandri Dust : Highlighted with Citadel Ushabti Bone
HELMET + GAS MASK CASE: Based in Vallejo Model Color Middlestone : Washed in AP Strong Tone ink : Drybrushed in Middlestone
LEATHER AND WATER BOTTLE : Based in Vallejo Game Color Beasty Brown : Washed in AP Strong Tone ink twice, allowing to dry thoroughly in between
STRAPS AND CUFF TITLE : Vallejo Model Color German Camo Beige : Washed in AP Strong Tone ink : Layered in German Camo Beige
WOOD : I used the Wargames Foundry Spearshaft triad and then washed in AP Strong Tone ink
METAL : Vallejo Model Air Gun
As so many of the stages require a wash of strong tone ink it is easiest to get the whole model up to that stage and then wash the whole thing carefully avoiding the Skin (which i always do to completion first).
Although it looks like I used a lot of stages I did not find it an onerous or long paint job. I painted that individual figure in perhaps 2 hours including drying time and time to ponder on what colours to use. I have got half way through another 7 models now in about 3.5 hours so I reckon using this technique a squad is doable in 6 to 8 hours.
