I've read a lot of positive comments on these rules, and even watched them played a little at a local game day between working a flea market table. Rather than invest a whole bunch in new armies, I find I have quite a number of figures for the above conflict that I can build on. Does anyone have any experience gaming this war and does it sound like it would be worth it? I found an "unofficial" Ethiopian supplement that I downloaded, but I'm still trying to decide whether to jump into Bolt Action. |

Locally we used Bolt Action for the Mexican revolution. Pancho Villa and the Federales. Worked Great. Very pleased with the results. |

That's interesting. I like that period and have some figures for that also. |

I can't think why it wouldn't work. |

I've played BA several times and to be honest, it leaves me kinda cold. It's so "generic" you could really use it for any period, provided shooting is the main combat method. So 1650 onward, including near future and SciFi. There was nothing about it that felt like WW2 to me. If it were for a period I didn't want to invest much in (figs/rules/terrain) then maybe I'd go that route. But I'd rather find a rule set that has some flavor of the period. My favorite skirmish system is 2 Hour Wargames, so me I'd use Nuts! |

i played this conflict..not with the rules you mentioned ..but with Rapid Fire and others…it's an interesting period..and the minis could be very versatile for other fronts/periods |
