Kursk campaign took place in July – I doubt anybody would have wanted to wear winter dress there!

Griefbringer – thank you saved me a post :)

And I don't think they're going to be produced in plastic either.

Milites10 Aug 2014 3:33 a.m. PST

That's the real reason Citadel failed, heat exhaustion!

Great looking figures, although unfortunately (for me) the wrong scale…
I admit that "Kursk Campaign" is perhaps not adequately chosen, but for those who collect 20mm figures these are definitely a joy. And I do applaud the action of "private" people who decide to produce some extra figures to add to the general collection.

Great looking minis! In addition to the uniforms the plentiful Panzerfausts stretch the Kursk credibility!

donlowry10 Aug 2014 9:05 a.m. PST

Can you really hold an MG-34 like that? (answer: not for long!)

Gaz004510 Aug 2014 9:54 a.m. PST

Nice figures……..I have battalions of Germans already but I can fi d room for nice additions like these!

Wrong pzfausts.
Nice sculpts though.

Seeing as I just looked this up.

Faustpatrone 43 trialled march 43. Very short tube. You held your arm straight out parallel with shoulder to fire.
Lengthened the tube and changed charge for the

Klein Sort of pointy shape to the head of it.
Production July 43.

30m
Looks like you expect a pzfaust to look.
Production roughly July 43 as well.

60
September 44.

Figures look very attractive – just no good for Kursk! I suppose Kharkov may have been meant, but that is still very early. Panzerfausts were first issued in small numbers in July 1943, I believe, but the 44 Assault Rifle definitely came out in 44!Russian PPSH looks under scale.

I presume that figure is intended to be combined with some suitable piece of ground to support the gun and the gunner, something like this.

Now renamed 'Germans in Winter-dress for the Kharkow-Campaign' on the blog. Better for the clothing, but even worse for some of the weapons.

Andy ONeill13 Aug 2014 4:09 a.m. PST

The Mkb 42 would certainly have been around in 1943 ( in small numbers ) and the MP43 with SS units and one regular infantry one.
