I would like to congratulate PCS for their excellent efforts and their contributions to the hobby. However why do they insist on WW2 British infantry being produced with kit on the opposte side of the actual kit. Canteen should be behind the right hip. I thought the intitial release was done improperly with lots of protest about this. Then the rerelease was done the same, improper kit. Glaring mistake and to repeat the same. |

Yikes! What if the RSM sees this? There'll be hell to pay! |

You look at any pictures of troops in action and you will find that no two of them have all their equipment or even the same equipment, let alone having it in the parade ground places! If it was more comfortable or accessible elsewhere then that's where it would go. |

Well after all, he's a Canadian old boy. |
Zargon | 08 Aug 2014 4:08 p.m. PST |
Yes, may do for Canadians and Americans types, but not for the lads ;) |
PiersBrand | 08 Aug 2014 4:58 p.m. PST |
Oh and I dont think all the waterbottles are on the left hip either… |
Sigwald | 08 Aug 2014 5:11 p.m. PST |
Yeah but that guy is just a backwards kind of guy. Look, he's taking cover on the wrong side of the tree. |
Mserafin | 08 Aug 2014 6:53 p.m. PST |
Look, he's taking cover on the wrong side of the tree. No, he's Canadian – he's defending the tree! |
Hornswoggler | 08 Aug 2014 7:51 p.m. PST |
I don't think any problems with the PSC British are as big as those with the PSC Americans – wrong straps and iirc incorrect combos of ammo pouches for weapons carried, etc. And also PSC C'wealth and US halftrack crews all wearing German Y straps… Those are more what I would call "glaring". |

just close your eyes and think of England |

I've painted some up and I'm happy with them. |

Errrr water bottle is annoying but the far more glaring problem with the psc British is the fact that they are wearing large packs in action-..never happen. |

"No, he's Canadian – he's defending the tree!" My choice for quote of the year so far. Well done Mserafin. |

+1 for quote of the year! |

Have the 20mm Brits been redone or is the re-release you refer to the 15mm versions? If they are redone I hope they are a little taller. |

Hi Piers, that os the first picture I have seen like that with the bottle on the left. Interesting, I uave never seen that even today at the PPCLI 100th anniversary celebrations. They had current members of the PPCLI in period uniforms from ww1 and ww2. My guess is if you are right handed you would put it on the right, left-hand on the left???? Interesting and yes the US infantry seem to have German straps. |
wrgmr1 | 09 Aug 2014 5:48 p.m. PST |
I'm Canadian I and Love trees. Not sure if I'm correct but sometimes when pictures are copied they are reversed. Thus the bottle would be on the right side if the picture is reversed, or do I have it wrong? He also could be just left handed. |
GGouveia | 09 Aug 2014 6:44 p.m. PST |
No the writing on the patch clearly says Canada and Perth. |
(Leftee) | 10 Aug 2014 4:53 p.m. PST |
Not on parade ground obviously. I carried two canteens but that was US Army in the 90's. So, maybe one on t'other side? |

In '37 pattern webbing the water bottle and the small pack both attach to the ends of the braces. If you put a second water bottle on you would need to find some other way of attaching the small pack – unless you dump the large pack and wear the small pack in its place. |
Martin Rapier | 11 Aug 2014 9:11 a.m. PST |
Or put your spare water bottle in the small pack when in marching order… |
