Looks great, you just need a pair of earmuffs for the driver.

yes a great bit of modelling.
when I first said I was doing this vehicle almost every email I got was from an ex us army soldier who all said how noisy it was!

Very nice!

I drove one of those while with the 7th ID in the late 70's. Yup, they are so loud you are issued with noise suppression headsets.

Nice modelling ! I remember most our M561s spent a lot of time in the motor pool … evil grin

I had a platoon of towed Vulcans in the 80s with Goats as my prime movers. Loud as Sigwald says, and hard to get into and out of, especially if you had the canvas on them. Ours were pretty reliable though, unlike Legion's

I was in the 101 and we kept dropping them from aircraft or sling-loading them under choppers … so that may have had something to do with it. I remember, the Riggers wanted to practice dropping them from aircraft. And we were requested to send one over. The Bn XO told me as the S-3 Air, he didn't want to see this one come back to the motorpool. It was a nightmare to keep FMC. I told him, I can't guarentee it. But based on the other attempts at dropping a Goat, we shouldn't have much to worry about … evil grin Damn thing landed like it was in a training film !!!! huh? The Riggers also tried to perfect dropping M274 Mules we had in our TO&E back then. They usually "crashed and burned" so to speak. When the Riggers told me to come to the airfield and pick up our Mules. I asked how many drivers I should bring ? He said, just bring a big truck with an empty bed … huh?

Murphy strikes again! Whenever you want the object destroyed, it emerges unharmed, and when you don't want it destroyed it gets wrapped around a tree or two…
