Good thing she isn't into Napoleonic gaming. Then the torches and pitchforks would come out! link LOL! |

When a preponderance of lawmakers -- and their staff; have never worn their nation's uniform, then these things are bound to happen. |

This is what happens when you let interns google up images. In John McCain's keynote speech to the Republican national convention, an image of my Junior High School -- Walter Reed -- flashed onto the big screen behind him. Obviously, some intern had been told to google up a picture of Walter Reed Medical Center and had goofed. |

"Reaching across the Aisle" and the Pond! Oops indeed! |

Reminds me of the Beavis and Butthead Spanish class bit. "The only Spanish you two losers know is what you picked up at Taco Bell, and Beavis can't even get that right." |

See… This is why I study history. You can't make this stuff up. |

VCarter….took the words right out of my mouth;….LOL! |

It is much like the news you get on tv or in the newspaper… you take it as reasonably factual until you find a major error, then you begin to question if ANY of it is any better. here in Las Vegas we had a series of news reports on tv about my place of employment, it made us seem like a really bad place. But the news piece didn't even show my agency in the video, I don't know where this other place was that they were showing, but it wasn't us. The information they presented was largely outright fictitious, and it got me wondering: are ANY of their news stories more than inventions? |

Yes, but did you read the crocnado article that was linked? Croc vs. bull shark. yay. Rob |
Cerdic | 08 Aug 2014 11:56 a.m. PST |
What's a 'lawmaker'? Is it some sort of local politician? |
OSchmidt | 08 Aug 2014 1:00 p.m. PST |
Dear Cerdic It's a term here in America for a person elected to a legislative body, be it Congress, the Senate, either on the federal or state level. In her case it's a member of the house of representatives. The problem is that we wish they would stop making laws. |

I think the uniform hat is part of the German Navy female officer's dress, but that emblem… it looks far too big to be worn at this position, or anywhere else on a uniform. |
Zephyr1 | 08 Aug 2014 2:21 p.m. PST |
Sorry, I was too busy looking at the pretty model to notice what uniform she was wearing…. (and I wonder if the lawmaker has a kitler fetish…. ;-) |
Cerdic | 08 Aug 2014 4:16 p.m. PST |
Thanks OSchmidt. We just call 'em politicians. The only ones who can make laws over here are Members of Parliament. We also wish they would stop making laws….. |

Considering that most of them are ex-lawyers they'd be fighting a lifetime's conditioning, Cerdic. |

When a preponderance of lawmakers -- and their staff; have never worn their nation's uniform, then these things are bound to happen. You said it! |
