Howdie.

Does anyone have an image of "The Trophies" diorama, and/or the "Camp Set" diorama, available from the Old Glory 15mm range. These are included in the French Marshals #1 and French Marshals #2 packs.

Thanks!

Chalfant

I would like to see these too!

I also would like to see them. It's strange that they're something like 20 years old and I've never seen them painted up!

I thought those were discontinued because they're not listed separately now. I'd love to see them as well. I've got a faint memory that the "Trophies" set included a few Austrian figures as well, and may have been based on the aftermath of Marengo. Not sure though.

Or I could be totally wrong….

Is this the trophy set?

They are currently listed in those packs (the Marshals #3 set has 4 Mameluke cavalry instead of a diorama).

I'm curious what the sets look like… entirely possible I (and some of you) have seen them already and didn't know it :)

At some point, I will be picking up one of the Marshal packs. The Marshals I'd like are spread across the three packs, but I don't have the money or need for all three packs… so…. I was hoping the Trophy Set, Camp Set, or 4x Mamelukes would be the deciding factor as to which single set I will get.

Thanks for the supported interest, sooner or later someone should be able to help us out.

Ha! How about that. Looks like you found that one…. trophy banners and standards. OK, that's interesting.

Well, here is the camp set sort of, evidently mixing in other figures…. but its a start.

The woman in Hussar uniform, and the mistress in the lap, are part of that evidently.

Using them as part of the search, found this TMP thread from a while ago (le Diable provides some detailed description a ways down)…

Here are some images of the camp set (apparently the Napoleon and officer with spyglass are not from this)…

And, apparently, some sources are saying the #3 set might have Massena in carriage at Wagram…. ?

Yes, set #3 had Marshal Massena (with his arm in a sling) in his carriage. The set also includes the 'Marshal Dillon' joke figure (laugh? I nearly started) and the far funnier three-armed French ADC (one of his pelisse sleeves has a hand coming out of it in addition to the usual two).

I have the figures from the "trophy" set painted up but they are not part of my Napoleonic gallery. I'll try to take a picture of them in the next day or so and post them. I have some of the "camp" set in pics 4-8 of my Napoleonic gallery which can be seen at link

Cool. Thanks!

(ps I think I found an image of Marshal Dillon, but no three-armed ADC so far).

I found several of my figures from the Old Glory 15s' "trophy" set. I'm not sure this is all of them but it's pretty representative of the figures included in the set.[URL=http://s1082.photobucket.com/user/rgarretson/media/IMG_1185_zps73e4e1f2.jpg.html]

Wow. Nice set, nicely painted…. are those transfers for the banners? Or are those hand painted?

I think that with the images found or displayed here, when I get around to it, I will buy the Marshal set #2 with the Campt Set…. #2 includes Soult, Victor, Ney, Berthier, Oudinot (amongst others) who collectively would be useful for several battles in the far future (would like a Massena on horse and Jourdan, but…). The camp set has some whimsical figures, but also some figures useful for a detailed army command base.

War in 15mm above shows the Trophy Set can look very sharp too. I don't know that I would find the Massena in carriage as useful (I think that set #3 also includes Massena riding on horseback).

Thanks for all the help and supporting interest!

The flags' fields and edgings are painted but the center devices is transfers. The Austrian two-headed bird is just too much for me to paint over and over again with any consistency of quality. If you saw my Napoleonic gallery, you see I have a lot of Austrian flags in that gallery and there are many more that weren't on the board. Richard

Its actually impressive just to get the transfers placed correctly on some of those. They look very good.

Richard (War in 15mm), I've seen your galleries before and they still look fresh and impressive. In fact, I think it was stumbling across your website that inspired me to put some other projects aside and start a 15mm Napoleonic project of my own over a year ago. Thanks for sharing.

Colin, thank you. That really makes me feel good. I think it is probably safe to say that when most of us post galleries of our collections there is an element of vanity involved. That is certainly true of me, but I also do it because I hope others will see something I have done and be encouraged/inspired to take on projects of their own. I really appreciate that you took the time to write and for the very kind words. Richard
