I like the larger footprint of 30mm bases, but don't like how the rounded edges of these bases since it reduces the top basing area. It also makes it more difficult to pickup a miniature by its base.

I'm not sure exactly where it started, the earliest I remember is Warmachine using them, but I don't know where they got them from initially or if any other games used it.

Nowadays, a lot of games use 30mm rounded side bases, or go with classic style 25mm.

Anyone know a supplier of 30mm flat sided bases?

Warzone resurrection uses these as well I substituted mine with minibits MDF bases which look a lot better

Thanks for finding that place. I did the usual searching but I overlooked that result since I had actually tried to buy something similar before from a different manufacturer, but they just sent me the round sided based even though the picture showed flat sides.
