The resolution of this picture is to low. Looks like "Radfahrweg" = Way for cyclists |

Great, thanks, but what's the text below please? I'm reading: Fur alle Wagen Gesp?rt! Need help with that last word :) |

I read that as "fur alle wagen gesperrt" – which would be "Barred for all vehicles" – i.e no vehicles allowed – so foot traffic (inc. cyclists) only) The french text below starts out with Piste Cycliste – i.e cycle route… As the sign isn't at the bridge, and there's clearly a truck crossing it in shot, I guess it applies to the canal towpath? |

I learned all the German I ever needed from Commando comics in the 70s. "For you Tommy, Ze var is over" |

Having just spent two weeks in Berlin, I can say I have never seen such a bike-friendly place in my life. Bike lanes, signals (which cyclists actually obey), parking, rentals, truly remarkable. |

Indeed, it is "Cycle way" and "Barred for all vehicles". We are possibly the most eco-friendly country in Europe, although the cuckoo clock makers might try to disagree with that. Jurgen |

(The Dutch go further, in my view). |

Well, if competing for the "most eco friendly" label instead of "largest army" is not progress, nothing will ever be :-) |
