You must (ought to) see the amazing terrain for our Astounding Tales game on 31 July 1890/2014 here:

That is great terrain. Love the river coming out of the idol.

Very nice jungle terrain. One can almost here the screeching of the birds and other denizens there.

Great river! --almost looks like comic book art!

And what are the structures made from? --they look like Hirst Arts blocks maybe?

bobspruster01 Aug 2014 8:25 a.m. PST

Not Hirst Arts, I think they're "project blocks" from A C Moore or maybe Michael's.
Great looking table!

I'd love to have that idol head!
The project blocks are a nice inexpensive way to build lots of quick structures btw. I found mine in A.C. Moore I think, as Bob has said. They just need some paint and spackle to look good.

jpattern201 Aug 2014 8:53 a.m. PST

Terrific!

Hi

I made the square structures out of Project Bricks. You can find some more info about them here:

I usually use them to run a Mummy's Tomb game but I thought Id try them out as lost city ruins that were being reclaimed by the jungle.

The river was a store bought item from Pegasus I believe.

Thanks for all the kind words.

Well done.

Nicely done. I've looked at those project blocks before and didn't think they would look good on the table, but you made them look great. I will have to give them a 2nd look.

The blocks look excellent up close and personal too.
Chuck has brought the structures out perhaps a half dozen times. Always striking looking especially with added interior stuff, statues, urns and what not.
Cheers,
Bill
