Hi

I already have a fair number of 15mm SYW figures by Lancashire games, and they seem on the large side. (They are significantly bigger than Essex or Freiekorps.)

Given that, can you guys suggest which other ranges might mix well with them ?

TIA

Depends which Lancashire range you are talking about.

Their Zulu's are a great fit with Peter Pig so small 15s there.

I have their Crimean figures and they are big lads not bad with Eureka.

I'm told their LOA figures go very well with Irregular's LOA.

I have a few Lancashire Spanish Napoleonics that I think would fit with Essex.

Sorry Guthroth misread it. Try Irregular.

Guthroth,……..your size comparison question prompted me to get my SYW 15mm out of storage for a look. The majority of my armies are Old Glory but I do have several Austrian fusilier battalions composed of Lancashire. When stood side by side with the OG's I see no difference what-so-ever with those from Lancashire. The Lancashire are maybe a slight heftier but look to be the same height as the OG.

I use them with OG15's (the old Old Glory range, not Blue Moon), in some cases in the same unit (one Lancashire guy with 23 OGs). Not perfect, but pretty close.

I have a number of Lancashire Games figures in my 15mm SYW collection, along with Minifig, Irregular, Freikorps, and Warrior. The LG figures are significantly larger and beefier and do not fit in very well with the others. It is usually the infantry which are the problem, the cavalry seem more compatible with the others. Certainly I could not recommend using LG infantry with the others given a choice.
