Just saw this in the latest Walthers Flyer catalog – an HO-scale (1:87) drive-in movie theater designed for a 7" tablet. link Now you can load up your old war movies on your tablet and show them to your buddies. Jim P.S. Messed up title on previous entry. |

That is an awesome idea, thumbs up to the model railroad guys. You could use it for 15mm horror gaming, and have a monsters vs. teenagers at the drive-in game going on while a horror movie plays in the background! |

Lots of great memories at the drive-in. The Geronimo Theater in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Long gone hmmmm…don't remember all the movies, though. |

Yeah, it reminded me of the drive-ins here in Jackson in my youth and college days. Saw "The Triffids" at the drive-in, or rather most of it when my brothers and I weren't cowering on the floor in the back seat. Jim |

Col, that reminds me of when my mom would give me 50 cents. That would get rid of me for 2 movies and the comics in between, with a soda and candy. That was in 50's NYC. Except when they played The Blob. I came running home after 15 or 20 minutes, scared out of my wits. |

I saw Star Wars for the first time at the drive in. The opening scene with the Rebel ship and the eternal Imperial cruiser was awesome! |

My local drive in looks EXACTLY like that! Very Cool! |

I saw spaceship terrain built for 28mm that used an I-phone for the bridge's view screen. Had an app running that was the star trek star field going by. |

Our local drive-in is The Skyview. It's still open for business. The signage is blue, however. |

I'm a railroader, too. Have to do this. |

We have a drive-in that is still in great shape in Eden NC. The best place in the area to watch a movie. |

I saw Star Wars for the first time at the drive in. The opening scene with the Rebel ship and the eternal Imperial cruiser was awesome! Me too!!! I think I was four or five years old when it came out. I remember I took my best friend from kindergarten. It was amazing. So many great drive in memories. One of my favorites is seeing a double feature of Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein with my folks and my aunt and uncle. Good times. Chuck |

I have some drive-in movie memories myself. I'm not proud to admit this, but back in high school, the drive-in movies my buddies and I saw were often fairly sleazy. There were some exceptions; we saw Jerry Lewis' "Hardly Working" at the drive-in too. This kit is pretty cool, but I wouldn't absolutely have to have actual movies playing on the miniature screen. Just my taste, although I do think it's a cool idea. |

My younger brothers and I fell asleep partway through "Dr Zhivago", when my Mom and Dad went to see it at the Starlite Drive In on Monroe Street in Sylvania Ohio. I vaguely remember my Mom knew one of the women selling tickets, so we always got a "good deal" (whatever that was..). There was a James Bond movie one time too… with Sean Connery, but I can't recall which one. Apparently, the place closed in 1969. Darned shame. The site was turned into a shopping mall, most of which is now vacant. Most of the Drive Ins, that were here in Sydney, are gone now too. I don't think any of us will ever be as nostalgic about our DVD players. Pardon the derail. Micro-rant off. Duck |
