I understand that the French army in 1940 was in the process of changing to a new model of uniform, which had already been adopted by some at least of the motorised troops.

Was there any change to the colours of the tunic, trousers and equipment compared with the earlier style of uniform?

Thanks

Changes to colo(u)r, no. There were changes in cut and to the legwear and of course the MAS 38 web gear.
