I am looking for Eastern Front scenarios that have very few tanks in the, wich book do I need? I ask because I want to game them in 28mm and I dont want to have to buy a lot of tanks. Advice would be very helpful thank you.

The fighting in and around Stalingrad would perhaps fit the bill?

Most of the Skirmish Campaign books I have seen aren't very tank heavy. I don't think you could go wrong with any, except maybe the Kursk ones.

Most of the Skirmish Campaign books I have seen aren't very tank heavy.

Also my experience. I don't have them to hand, but IIRC the ones set in 1941 might suit you well.

I would agree with the others. The Kursk books start off with mainly infantry based games and get tank heavy (depending on what you call have). For example in the Grossdeutschland at Kursk later Scenrios can have around 15 tanks on the Soviet side and around half to 2/3 that on the German side.

You can try the "Point of Attack" campaign generator Too Fat Lardies created for their "Chain of Command" rules.

You could check through the Downloadable files:

Might be something there to fit the bill.

I have them all and they all field some to a lot of tanks on the east front.

The only book which does not field any tanks is the 1919 polish borderlands book. This is actual a very good one with interesting scenarios.

Thanks. I have a few and will check out the Kursk one. I have the 1919 one and have used it with my RCW figures, it is a good one. I also have 15mm figs for bigger WW2 games on the Eastern Front, but I am really into 28mm at the moment.

Perhaps a copy of GMT's "Combat Commander" would work better for you? You get a great boardgame to boot. All Infantry all the time. Have most of the SC books, better for 15s or 20mm, at least four of the scenarios are small scale Skirmish. Realize your doing Russia but some scenario ideas adapt well. For 28 the Norway book, Finland book and the 101st book have the least amount of vehicles -don't have the Crete books-maybe those too.
