Whoa. Very cool.

Cool to see the official trailer for Mad Max Fury Road, released today, is similar to the fan trailer produced over five years ago.

The fan trailer uses scenes from multiple movies and electronic games including Auto Assault and Don LaFontaine's narration from the official trailer for Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.

Dan LaFontaine was a master of narration.

I've not only pre-ordered my ticket, I've also journeyed into the future to watch it.

It was pretty good, actually. Better than Prometheus 1 or 2.

Darthfozzywig, please tell me there are no more Michael Bay films

jpattern227 Jul 2014 7:24 p.m. PST

Well, he swears Transformers 17 will be his last one . . .

darthfozzywig27 Jul 2014 9:06 p.m. PST

The actual Transformers land/ed in late 2015. Michael Bay was ripped apart in a tug-o-war between Megatron and Bumblebee.

It was agreed that the winner was really all of us.

I'm there too!.

The end.

It may be quite fun, but the statement about not having a script but just a bunch of pictures to shoot the thing by is kind of scary. No script generally means crap movie…

I hope for the best, though! And "no Mel" is a GOOD thing! I'm tired of 70 year-old "action" stars.

axabrax28 Jul 2014 7:32 a.m. PST

It looks freaking awesome. Sorry, but I don't see any entry in this thread that explains how there's no script for the movie? Where are you getting that information? PS: thank God no Mel. Action stars need to hang it up after 60.

jpattern228 Jul 2014 8:37 a.m. PST

They shot from storyboards almost exclusively, I read.

chriskrum28 Jul 2014 9:34 a.m. PST

George Miller alone is reason enough to see this. The man has produced an eclectic body of work. Not always that successful (Happy Feet). But always interesting.

PatrickWR28 Jul 2014 9:48 a.m. PST

Looks awesome, no script hopefully just means minimal dialogue (fine by me). Read somewhere that it's being billed as a 110 minute chase scene. I've been waiting 20 years for this movie!!

Me too, PatrickWR. Me too.

thosmoss28 Jul 2014 8:08 p.m. PST

If Mel were to appear, should it be called "Crotchety Max"?

Hey you rotten punks, get off my desert!

David Manley29 Jul 2014 11:49 a.m. PST

That looks indescribably wonderful and now I can't wait for 2014 to be over, dammit!
