Even though they are plastic, the FOW M-113 are very easy to build, and have lots of options. |

Dear "Celtic Amphibious Warrior", Skytrek / Old Glory, has the M113A1 with the T-50 turret but with twin 30 calibre not the 50 / 30 combination. I ended up with a section of three and the remainder of the troop came from peter pig. the ACV M577 was from peter pig and a couple of mortar cars from QRF in their West German range with the 120mm mortar. "Ron" (later on), I purchased two mortar carriers from Frontline miniatures in Brisbane so the QRF were in travel mode and the Frontlines were set up for firing. Hope this helps! Regards Allan |

hi Gents, Flashpoint Miniatures also makes M113's with the T50 turret with .30/30 and .30/50 options. It is a polyurethane hull with a dozen metal pieces, and makes up very quickly. A helmeted driver and crew commander with beret is supplied. Flashpoint minis also has a mortar carrier which allows you to make either a 81mm or 120mm mortar carrier…if you let me know it's for an Aussie project I will provide Aussie mortar crew instead of the US mortar crew which I would usually supply. We used to have a FSV M113 , but I wasn't so happy with it so it has been redone. I have the first master back (about a fortnight ago) but haven't got it production-ready yet. A M113 fitter-version is also being done concurrently. We also have a M557 Command APC and M548 Ammo carrier started.(The M548 is a little further along than the M557) These new 'tracks' are planned to be ready by about March next year. ..right now I've just been focussed on expanding our terrain accessories, I'm right now in the middle of completing a bunch of ARVN figures and a M74C turret, a CH34 Choctaw is the next scheduled project… a CH46 Sea Knight should follow this ..by then the next M113 projects (as above)should be near ready….although I've just broken the cardinal rule of NOT predicting timelines. link is this useful ? |
