Empire of the Summer Moon is a great read ,highly recommend.I have always wanted to do Commanches against the Spanish.

I get confused. Are these figures from Conquest (where I see them listed) or are they from Warlord and sold by Conquest in the US?

Second, are they metal or plastic?

MH Dee25 Jul 2014 3:24 p.m. PST

By Conquest, sold on licence by Warlord, metal. I have a pack, nice figures. Tempted to get more too.

They appear to have been doing lots and lots of pushups and pullups. A bit overmuscled, perhaps?

Maybe but I also like their "scrawny" look.

I wish that Early War had the Crows and Pawnees ready to go.
Those are two Indian tribes you just can't find.

I contacted Early War about the Cows and Pawnees. They responded that they have more figures than those on their site and told me they would send me a catalogue. I've been waiting for more than 2 months now. Will try again to get to the bottom of this.

I bought the Conquest mounted warband and they are wonderful.

I've also painted up a bunch of the mounted Spanish militia (Cuera) from Dayton Painting Consortium. These are the old London War Room miniatures. You'd need to ask for the list of minis if you're interested, and they give great service. dpcltdcom.org

They fought each other, and the Comanches also helped seek out the Lewis and Clark expedition for the Spaniards, so there must have been times when they worked together.
