I just finished finally another round of Great Orcs by Black Tree Design from the old Harlequin range,as well as some of their orc crossbow from their Fantasy Army lines. And I am done painting and fixing to start the Battle of Gondolin after several months of painting.

Nice job painting, but those old figures just scream "CARTOON" to me. I would much rather have the GW Orcs.
To each, his own.
Variety makes the world go round.

To each his own indeed. I love these, they scream 80s Warhammer to me but at a fraction of the price of genuine 80s GW on ebay. Darclegion, those quantities at that quality are genuinely impressive.

Thank you! I like them, but I they are different from what I am used to. I collect the old Harlequin LOTR range so they are very different from those. I do like the Great Orcs, I use them as trolls since they are huge.

I'm with Badvoc. These scream 80's GW to me also. I love that slightly goofy aesthetic. Same vibe as my GW favorites, the Squats.

Nice Work Darclegion,
BTD has some nice minis, and your work really shows them off.

I like both types of orcs (cartoony and realistic). There was a D&D "Gazeteer Orcs of Thar" that cataloged some of the variations, really liked that one.

Massive looking unit of archers, their enemies will have the advantage of fighting in the shade.

Those are great! Well done. I night have to pick some up to use in my Mordheim games.

There is definitely a certain charm to these minis. Well done Darclegion!

Thank you! I am just glad I am done painting for awhile, but when I do I may be buying a few more of the great orcs, the two handed weapon ones. Like a Troll ARmy> Is the possible.
