Well I would have to say Britannia Miniatures owe you big time! The figures look superb, but their website shows not a single figure that I can see. I have been looking for Carabiniers a Cheval that are neither too Hobbit like or two dimensional (the Perry Plastics…great cuirassiers but terrible spare heads for the Carabiniers and with the square portmanteau). Guard Lancers? I cannot justify any more….really. But so look forward to seeing them! Love your low angle photos as well. |

Deadhead, We are working on the website……and hopefully will be in a position by the end of the year to upload pictures of most of the 28mm Ranges as a start. If you want to see any specific images let me know and I will see what I can do… I believe Andy may be about to do a deal on the 28mm ranges with a discount…… I will let people know when and what this will be,,,, Another pic of the Carabiner a Cheval for you…

Carabiniers with blue coats? Or does the lighting make them look like that? |

Oh now, they are nice……and of course I will not spoil it for you and comment on the pale blue coats….for campaign, they are right… post 1812 anyway. I'll forgive the square portmanteau…it is odd for French heavies, I know and easily converted. I have never understood why theirs' was round. Trumpeter needs a black sheepskin BTW. These are trivia. Again, they do seem lovely castings. Pictures like this will sell your range….even just in a grey or white undercoat is better than nothing. and also…if you want to get noticed here always "crosspost" to the Napoleonic Discussion page. The Nap Gallery seems to attract less attention, but your post lasts only minutes at the top of the Discussion forum and is soon obliterated down the ranking…..so put it in both! Then ,every so often, respond to every response, even just with a thankyou…and you are back at the top. Everyone seems to do it. |

My understanding is that French heavies, including dragoons, all had rectangular valisse. |

Yes, all but the Carabiniers. That is what I have never understood. Cuirassiers/Dragoons in every other regard, but a round valise. Check any source….but why? The Pale blue coat is not as striking as the white, but the feeling is that is what they wore in action later on |

I always find it strange when manufacturers don't have photos of the figures on their websites F |

especially when these seem…at first glance….worth a second look. I have tried on Google to see if anyone has posted pics of Napoleonic figures, but all I get is WWII or Modern. I had never considered this range till now. Why? Cos I had never seen them! A picture tells a thousand…oh you know the rest…….. |

Ferg/ Deadhead Firstly Dave never really pushed the range….. Secondly it has taken Andy a massive amount of time to sort out everything…. He has a full time job like most of us in the hobby….. We are trying to get this sorted….the picture issue that is… In the mean time I am painting like mad and posting the pictures on here for you guys…. Technology is not everyone's forte….however we have now recruited a secret weapon….my 14 year old son….and his mate….they will be working on the website and one of the first things will be up loading the massive gallery of pictures…. If there is anything you want to see in particular drop me a line and I will get pics for you….. Thanks for the kind comments Chris |
