link I haven't tried posting a picture direct to a post… let's see if this works! If it has worked, then you should see Napoleon Crossing The Alps above this text, sculpted by Alan Perry, painted and based by me, and plopped in front of a Caspar David Friedrich landscape painting, to give a suitably Alps-like backdrop. If it hasn't worked…erm, well. You can see the figure via the link below. I've posted on my blog (and here) about the progress I'm making with this figure a few times. The latest post is here: link I'd love some comments and feedback on the blog. Hope you like it! Seb aquestionofscale.blogspot.co.uk |

Dang it! It doesn't appear to have worked… I followed the FAQ instructions: cut and paste the URL… is it 'cause the URL I generated is on Flickr? Can anyone tell me how to generate a functional URL for an image, so I can get my pic into the post? This is not a pic off the web, but an original photo of my own, so it has no pre-exisitng URL. I thought if I stuck it up on Flickr it'd generate a URL I could use, but it seems I was mistaken! Any help greatly appreciated. Seb |

Flickr says that "sharing is restricted" for this image. |

Hi Bill, thanks for getting back to me. I'm new to Flickr and TMP. So this is all part of the learning curve, I guess. I'll go see what I can do about sharing the image on Flickr… |

Sebastian, On the image's Flickr page (the one you linked to, above) there is a "download this photo" menu in the bottom right-hand corner of the black area. Open this menu and click "View all sizes". On the resulting page, right click on the image and select "View Image". The page that this opens has a URL that ends in ".jpg", which is what you needed to paste into your original post, like this:

Thanks War Artisan, I'll try that next time I need to post an image. In the meantime, thanks for putting the image up for me! Regards, Seb |
