… a nightmare. It's a complex model which require me to paint things partially between assemblies, with quite a few moving parts. But finally finished it last night, tackling it 1 hour a day during the week and eaten up a good portion of this weekend. Well, it still requires some tidying up and additional highlight below, but I'm going to take a break from it. Door is able to close in and open reliably without magnets. Just some really tight fitting at the bottom of the door (which was already scraped to allow the doors closed completely).

Yeah, I think it's a really neat model! Truly iconic Space Marine vehicle. I'm planning to get at least 2 more. Despite the horrendous process, I think GW couldn't have done any better. The engine part is supported by 5 individual fins, which must fit between doors. The model allowed just the right amount of leeway and precision. |
