I am bitten by a desire to get back into army level Ancients, specifically Bronze Age and Biblicals.

I have extensive Trojan War armies in 15mm, Syro-Canaanites and Sea Peoples/Philistines in 28mm, and Sumerians in 20mm plastics. I also have Baccus 6mm NKE and Hittites, and a good number of 2mm from Irregular.

I have several sets of rules that I like, and they all will share common basing. I will be providing both sides so basing is not a huge issue in any case. Most basing is in multiples of the DBX/WRG basing.

Most often I think I will be playing on smaller tables, 2x3 feet, 3x5 feet, and 4x6 feet being the options most readily available. This makes for a cramped game in 28mm.

How is the current selection in 20mm? I am most torn between that and 15mm. I like the look of 20mm on 25mm DBA/WRG basing. 15mm I base to WRG 15mm standard.

Is there enough available in 10mm to make it worth considering?

10mm would probably give the best game space wise. I like all scales. Everything has some benefit.
Visually though 28mm is best IMHO but does lend itself to smaller armies.
Best of both worlds is small game in 28mm and larger battles with scenery etc in 10mm. Assyrians attacking cities with siege towers would be awesome in 10mm.

Who does Biblicals in 10mm? It's the one scale I have never done much in.

I like 20mm but that's mostly due to cheap plastic figures than any other reason.

These were big armies. 10mm for my money. I used to do 6mm too, but my painting wasn't up to decent detail.

Tricky decision, I am sticking with 15mm even though for most periods i have now gone 28mm

28mm just does not look like a "big" pitched battle unless you are putting hundreds of models on a 12 foot table which most of us aren't!
