"Around-the-hull" tracks like the Churchill and various LVTs (and various Evil Empire products), huh? |

Interesting, would like to have seen a concept drawing or alike just to see how it should look and the route your going in but that's okay, I like what I'm seeing I stand corrected, I see in an earlier post a concept of your idea and I can see now just how it is coming a long, looking very good |

Yeah, the track thing is a real struggle for me, as I tend to be more practical and not too creative. I can find no good reason to do it this way, except to simply make the model deviate away from modern vehicles with practical engineering. Since the original idea of "fixing" a Land Raider several years ago, I've probably made 30 concept sketches. I've done it so many times that I just sort of gave up and ended up with the pretty crappy drawing in that earlier post. There are actually several detail changes in the current hull from that drawing, and the plan and profile of the turret have been changed significantly. I'm probably going to do a second turret for them as well, smaller overall, with a much smaller armament. |
