Nice! I've always liked the 17pdr, looks suitable brutal. These are the nice toys that the German player's get upset when you field them.

The first 17pdr I built was a 1/32nd Airfix kit – that was big. I now have many 10mm ones, which while smaller are still imposing.

It might be the angle of the first photos – but you might want to check the placement of the gun shield – it looks a touch high and is usually at quite an angle backwards (this may be far too late to be useful now you have finished the stands).

The kits came with no instructions so I did struggle to work out how the shields sat. I have 2 more kits now so if you can suggest any photos that will help get them on right I will then think about re-positioning the original two

cheers

With guns I nearly always find that I have to spend a while googling images to find out what the finished thing is supposed to look like!!

Once you know the end result then often the pieces seem to suddenly fit the right way.

A couple of photos of 17pdrs – the is very little gap at the top of the barrel

thanks! I will refer to this when I start on the next 2 then review what I want to do with the originals. I am doing a Churchill SGB (bridge) at the moment, and then probably more Churchill funnies before I get back to artillery

Which SBG did you go for? Its one of the few gaps in my Funnies (along with a good fail tank).

I have gone for the Gramodels resin kit

Oh, and I am just finishing off the decals on my Sherman flail which are Pithead and look nice
