Does anyone, other than Blue Moon Miniatures, make 15mm Swedish artillerymen in the Karpus hat for the Great Northern War?

Jeigheff18 Jul 2014 4:00 p.m. PST

It is possible that Editions Brokaw does/did. They were sold by Pat Condray. As of several years ago, they were still available. Maybe someone else here can help us out with more information.

The EB figures are true 15s. They have a moderate amount of detail and are slim in build.

Hope this helps! Jeff.

Try Roundway.

I love Roundway figures. But I live in the US and they are not easy to order for those of us on this side of the Pond. Unless you know a secret that I don't?

If you are aiming for historical accuracy, then there is no need for artillerymen with karpus. Swedish artillery crews seem to exclusively have worn tricornes during the Great Northern War. The only exception would have been the drivers who rode the horses in the baggage train.

When I was doing Minifigs in the USA, I believe we had Crews in Karpus. They may be listed as "Russian" though. (Sorry, it's been over 4 years and I don't have my packing lists with me.)

I live in Australia and order them from here without any great problems. I fax him the order sheet, he has my credit card, he mails them to me. Quick, easy and I've never had a problem (and I have two very large Roundway armies for Swedes and Russian for the GNW bought in this manner from him).
