Yes, just 2 days to go before the Big Fat Baccus Weekend! The workshop is being cleaned and polished in anticipation of the hordes of visitors on Saturday and the Igor is a blur of motion bustling around an overheating casting machine getting all the new goodies ready for those of you making it to the Joy of Six. Here's a few sneak previews of what we'll be releasing at the show.

The armies of the Great War will finally be getting their guns! The British, French and German will be getting field guns and howitzers:

We are also releasing the long-awaited late war Napoleonic French. You can look forward to infantry in habit-veste

and in greatcoat

and some very nice new artillery crews (Horse and Foot)

Away from the figures, I am more pleased than you anyone can think to be finally releasing a new set of rules in the Polemos series in the form of Chris Grice's revised War of The Spanish Succession volume.

There will be lots more details about these coming along next week, but for those interested, you can download a few sampler pages from the Baccus News page

The new WSS sets will be available for purchase in the 'Rules onna stick' format at the Joy of Six ahead of general release – yet another good reason to get yourself to what promises to be a hot and sunny Sheffield this coming Sunday!

I keep meaning to make it over to one of these fine events but I seem to always manage to be double booked :(

Perhaps next year.

Looks like fun, wish I wasn't on the wrong side of the Atlantic! I'll pick up the WSS rules once they're available here (hopefully as a pdf). I expect one of our club guys will be picking up those late war French too.

I am really liking those First World War guns!

And why is it I am always double booked for the Joy of Six?
