Earlier today I posted a new tutorial on my blog showing how I made some simple explosion models for my 6mm North Africa project. These arn't Hollywoodesque fireballs but much more realistic (imho) bursts of dust and rock. Desert Explosion Markers

Great minds think alike, and fools seldom differ. I had a similar thought when I made these, only I used nails of various sizes glued to a coin with a glue gun, then painted with PVA and sand and gritted. Very quick to make and quite effective. We use them to mark units withdrawing – the craters mark units pinned / suppressed.

I like your version Olicana, they really look the part. Just looking at all those sharp looking nails pointing up has me breaking out in a cold sweat! I guess the added element of danger will make their use more interesting. |
