Do the Reviresco metal WWI aircraft fit with Wings of War models? Do people mix and match models for WoW? My edition of the rules is supposed to arrive today and I have three scratch built planes, but Reviresco seems like a nice collection. Too heavy, though?

Any 1/144 scale aircraft will mix well with WoG WWI aircraft which are 1/144.

They sit on solid plastic stands, so weight would not be an issue.

You can also use Shapeway WWI aircraft in 1/144 scale with the WoG aircraft.

What Dan said.

I use my Shapeways planes freely with the Wings of glory plances.

The Shapeways planes look great…many of the were designed by Wings of War/Glory gamers to fill in holes within the Ares/Nexus line, so they are perfect matches. I cannot speak directly of Reviresco…I owned some years ago, but have never seen them side by side with Wings of War/Glory. However, as Dan said, they are supposed to be 1/144th scale, which is the WoW/G scale.

I've heard from friends that the Skytrex/Red Eagle planes are a b-word to put together. I have no direct experience with that, but a good gaming buddy had issues and I would take his word for it!

I've never had issues, but… I have some Reviresco, but I've not put em together yet. One thing I can tell you, Reviresco has a lot more parts! They look like nice kits though. I'm know they both will work (at least they do for me)!
Here are some Red Eagle AC & Balloon of mine.

The Reviresco models are nice little beasties indeed. I have quite a few from before Shapeways coming on scene, and yes, I was responsible for the research of more than a few of them… the fact remains that until Shapeways came along, finding strange and unusual subjects like the Junkers J-1 was essentially a hopeless task…evil grin

Yes, they have parts, as that is the limitations of a white metal kit. They also come with scale pilot and where appropriate gunner figures. They paint up well, so of you're not shy of building kits with small parts and prefer white metal to styrene or nylon, then these are quite reasonably priced, nicely done little models.

Hope this helps!

We played Wings of Glory today in the summer program I'm running on war games and the kids really enjoyed it. They drew top down aircraft and plastic cups as altitude measures. I'm looking forward to building my air fleet.

Reviresco not only makes 1/144th scale aircraft kits but does 1/144th decals also. These are full coverage decals which do away with the painting of small scale markings. Check out our aircraft kits and decals at: tin-soldier.com/air.html
