I think your best bet will be to take a fairly ordinary looking man and adding a lute to his kit…maybe somehow slung across his back or side or something.

What feature would make it a bard to you?

I'm struggling to think of an obvious choice, especially for Dark Ages. A conversion of Pendraken late Romans is likely to be a good starting point.

Depending on how you think a Bard should look, i'd be looking at some of the 10mm fantasy stuff, possibly elfs
