I have put the finishing touches on my 10mm AWI Continental Army. They are now ready to hit the table and stand against the Redcoats.

Very Nice!

Nice, what size units (in terms of bases) would be typical with your rules?

I will be using Piquet's Cartouche and Piquet's Field of Battle 2 and a 4 stand unit for the AWI represents about 200-300 men.

Hi VicCina,

I have a question about your AWI Americans. I recognize many of them as being Old Glory and Pendraken figures. However, I don't recognize the fairly slender Continental infantry guys standing behind the riflemen in green. I kind of like the look of those figures: who makes 'em? Thanks!

Who's the guys in green??

There are a mix of Old Glory, Pendraken and some of the minifig 10mm in there as well.

95thRegt: if you are asking about the guys front and center of the picture above then I am using them as Daniel Morgan's Rifle's.

If thats the case, most should be in white,or tan. Hunting frocks were more often than not, left in their natural linen color, which was white,or off white.

Thanks for the information. I will amend them when I expand this army out more. For now they will have to do.

Thanks, VicCina! I'd forgotten about Minifigs' 10mm AWI figures.

Jeff

P.S. That leads to another question: are these figues still available, or out of production? I just did a quick search for them, but couldn't find any information.

Hi, Jeff. They remain out of production while I am in Germany (4 years now.) I am working with a close friend to see if he can get them back into production. he just retired form the US Army last month and is in the process of moving back home and setting up his casting shop….which was also in storage.

So, hopefully soon will be back! And by the way, they were NOT Minifigs…they were GFI/AIM. The AWI was from my friend J.D. Perry before he passed away. ODGW had them in production before he had the molds and masters sent to us. IIRC, they were sculpted by Clib (here on TMP) who also did Pendragon's AWI awesome 10mm range.

Fingers crossed….

Tom
