Just starting to put some pixels to screen on some ideas that have been kicking around on paper for years. A few starter maps for this project are over on my blog.

Please take a look and if you can think of a decent world name, I would appreciate it :)

Cheers

Nice work!

world names-

Mordantia

Bauderlarum

Narkash-Tor

Gralthrakia

Sola-Maruum

or just fiddle with these for city names/territories.

I just steal names from my favorite RPG video games.

Azeroth

Amalur

Ascalon

Faerun

So on so forth

I use words in pairs to make names out of kennings.
And my formula is "latin-german" or "hebrew-latin" or my favorite "old english-greek"
depending on what style world you are developing

So then just make kennings that work

I invented my own language specifically for RPGs which is all I use for my place names now… I can email you that if you want.

My email (for anyone interested in my micro-language of atroxian) is aapch45 at gmail dot com

Its not very organised… but is awesome for languages in Rpgs.

I'm actually working on a setting right now for a wargame, that uses the language as its base.

Thanks
Austin
