The Wednesday Night Painting Group (WNPG) will be running a charity event to benefit Toys for Tots at the HMGS East Fall in! convention. This will be our 5th year running this event and to date we have raised over $23 USDK for Toys for Tots.

During the convention we will be running a Semi-Silent auction which will include painting miniatures, units, armies, terrain and other gaming items.

We will also have a Chinese style Raffle on both days, which will include items donated by vendors from the dealer hall and from gaming companies around the world.

100% of the money raised from the auction and from the Raffle Tickets will go to Toys for Tot.

we will also be accepting New and unwrapped toys that will be given to the Charity.

Even if you do not plan on attending the convention you can still help support this cause:

1, Miniatures (we will take any unused painted or unpainted miniatures that you no longer need, want, etc. (We all have some figures, units or even armies that we no longer use, you know that ones I'm talking about.)

2, We need Painters who are willing to paint the above mentioned unpainted miniatures.

3, We will take any new gaming items (Figures, terrain, rules, etc) that we can either Paint for the auction or raffle off.

So if you have items to donate, or would like to help us paint some figures, or just want to wish us luck, please contact us at wnpg@hotmail.com for more details.

Thanks for your continuing support, we couldn't have done any of this without fellow gamers and dealers,

Santa Moe

Santa Moe,

1) Do the miniatures have to be historical in nature?

2) What if I have nicely painted figures I can donate? I'd be happy to send you a picture before I ship them.

3) If you tell me what period you'd like to see, I can see if I have the minis and paint them up.

Do any of the above three work for you?

We are looking for still more support from all of you gamers around the world. In the past we have had received help from Thailand, UK, Sri Lanka, Germany, Poland and even as far away as Canada.

Anything you can donate will be useful and even though I promised not to say it, I just can't stop myself.

It's for the Children. =)

Thanks

Santa Moe, how many minis are you looking for? And what type are you looking for?

Moe the Great14 Jul 2014 10:49 a.m. PST

Yes, and Yes.. :)

We will take as many as we can get. We usually have about 40 Separate items that we action off a year. Some are single mines, some are units, so items are complete games. (painted figs, terrain, rules etc.) As for what kind, well we take any. 40k, Bolt Action, 1/300, 1/3400, 10mm, 28mm, ACW, AWI, WWi, WWII etc. The auction is help at Fall In! and the participants play, run, paint pretty much everything, so we take pretty much everything as donations.

We do have a stock of miniatures that need to be painted, if anyone would like to help paint some up.

Last year the big sellers were 28mm WWII, since Bolt Action was getting popular.

So as you can see, we do not turn anything or anyone away.

Thanks

Santa Moe

40 separate figures or 40 separate units? I also have ACW generals I can get painted rather quickly.

Moe the Great14 Jul 2014 11:35 a.m. PST

on average we have about 40 auctions Items. Some items consist of only one figure, some consists of a whole unit. Some might be a piece of terrain, one might have enough terrain for a whole table.

SO it really depends on what we get donated. Once in a while we will combine items, lets say you gave me a unit of WWII US troops and someone else gave me 28mm German troops, I might combine them.

Ok. I'll send you another email tonight with what I can donate.

TheWarStoreSweetie14 Jul 2014 1:20 p.m. PST

Are you bringing me stuff to paint at Historicon?

Moe the Great14 Jul 2014 1:58 p.m. PST

I would if I was making it to HCon. I can see about having something dropped off by one of the Elves.

We are still in need of donations and painters for this years event. If you would like to help us out please PM me or email me @ wnpg@hotmail.com

Thanks
