Painted up a few Satyr bot from victory force games. Painted these a generic massed produced fighting machine . Only issue I have there are only 5 poses. But since they are supposed to be generic guess that is OK. Went with a white tan color. Tried to stay away from the Star wars droid look.

Thanks for posting, I've been looking for something like that!

Nice work, but they do look like Trade Federation Droids.

Do you have any scale shots with humans? Aren't these robots supposed to be taller than a man?

Sorry, forgot to take those pics. They are around 35mm tall. The way the legs are make them taller then 28mm.

Nice models – You appear to be a very prolific painter, which is excellent, but with a small amount of additional work the models could be 100% better.

I have to say that the basing is the worst bit and really lets the models down a lot. Looks like you've just slapped on some brown paint without making an attempt to cover the slot gaps. Filling the gaps with a bit of putty then using modelling sand to give the base some texture is really very easy. Also, even a basic shade on the base colours would provide a massive improvement on the painting.

Sorry to be negative, but I'm assuming you post the pictures to get feedback and comments to help you improve ?

They'd make good Elysium security proxies.

Perhaps he isn't finished and planned to base later? I like them. I don't think they look Trade Fed though. The legs and heads and very different from Trade Fed.

I paint to game, Don't paint for show. And I hate doing basing material, all ways come off when playing. No matter what you use to seal it with. So I just leave the base with color.

These where some what of a test with tans, there is a shade drybrush but hard to tell in the pictures.

Just another thing knocked of the lead pile.

Filling the slottabase is easy using a putty and, as an alternative to using scatter or flock you can use a textured base paint. I use it all the time. It never comes off and is easy to use. I usually give the bases a quick wash and then a dry brush.

Sorry… just my opininion and preference. I would feel bad fielding partly completed models (i'm referring to the lack of slot filling on the bases) especially if my opponent had taken care to paint and complete his / her figures to a decent basic standard.
