I will be able to attend Historicon after all, thanks to my son driving :)

I will be able to help Tom Thomas who is doing both a demo of the final version of DBA 3 and a tournament. In the program the latter is listed as 25mm but I will bring 15mm figures and boards so folks can use their own armies in that scale (or use mine). Bring a 2.0 army, most are pretty close.

The demo is 9am Friday and the "tournament" is 2pm Friday. I put tournament is quotes because this will not be as serious as even the usual DBA tournament but more of a learning experience, you know, Learn by Playing.

By the way HISTORICON IS NEXT WEEK, JULY 17!

So how did it go I saw a big turn out for the 2.2 games but must of missed the 3.0 area?

Six players in Tom Thomas' tournament using the draft 3.0 rules, IIRC his post on Fanaticus correctly.

Ah, wait, found it:

1.Mike McViegh Marion Romans 69
2.Catherine Thomas Medieval Germans (1450) 49
3.Thomas J. Thomas HYW English 1415 48
4.Jeff Wright HYW French (1415) 45
5.Paul Vogel Early Crusader 5
6.Tommy Thomas Communal Italien (1300) 3
[/cite]

I received a notice that Sue has taken down the 3.0 draft rules from her website after Historicon. That might mean they are close to publication?

David, thanks for posting. Good guess about Sue's motivation. Also, as a result of the last posting there were a few useful changes based on user suggestions.

There were also a couple of 15mm games at the same time as 25mm tournament. We just played among ourselves in a learning format.

You bet, Bob.

Good to see you again, however briefly. Were you running something else at the Con? Gaslight, VSF?
