Great looking game and figures. You can never go wrong with the Musketeer Miniature line. Plus those flags are beautiful!

Very nice, indeed.
Can anyone please identify the foundry that supplies this Swedish battalion gun, with its eccentric way of locking the barrel to the carriage. That makes for a perfect Hesse-Kassel battalion gun for the WAS and SYW.

Cheers,
Christian

Christian,

I think you will find it is the gun supplied by Gripping Beast with the Musketeer gun crew. If it is it is based on photographs I took in the Swedish Military Museum in Stockholm, and the gun was made by Dave Hoyle (its a long story and I shall not bore you with the details!). As you can see from the photos it is quite chunky, but 100 percent accurate – for the Swedish model (although perhaps the wheels could be a bit lighter).

Kind regards

C.
