Hello all. I recently got back into FoW after being away from the game shortly after third ed came out. The 17/25 lb gun in NA book has a RoF of 2. I just stumbled across a PDF that lists all the weapons the british have and it states a Rof of 1. Huh??? Its been RoF 2 since first edition. Is this in error? If it is correct is there another update somewhere that lists a point cost correction? None of this makes any sense to me. Thanks all!!! |

Yes, a relatively new change. According to the design notes, it is because the 17pdr gun was too big for the 25pdr chassis. Yet another reason not to play British Mid war. |

The 17/25pdr has been made cheaper but had the ROF lowered. The main reason it has been downgraded is probably to provide some justification in FOW rules terms for it being worse that the normal 17pdr. Unfortunately the difference between ROF 1 and ROF 2 in FOW is huge, much more than the difference in effective ROF would have been in real life. |

When did the 17pdr get the split trail carriage? |

Daubre: Wiki says they first saw action in 1943 in Italy. The Pheasant was the prototype, and was fielded in February 1943. |
