Are they fairly compatible with 28mm miniatures? I'm assuming they should look ok but wanted to check. |

TMP link This has some comparisons and lengths. Farther down on the thread Stan has some size comparisons to minis. I prefer the Jada with 28mm but it's all a bit subjective. Hope this helps. Pat |

A number of 28mm manufacturers produce vehicles in 1:56 because
I don't know-I guess it looks "more better right" with their interpretation of 28mm. 1:64 has the drawback of being a sensible scale. |

IMO, 1/64 almost always looks too small with 28mm figures. It's considerably smaller than 1/56 (the approximate 28mm equivalent) to begin with and the chunk of most 28mm figures and the height of their bases just makes the cars look puny. I much prefer 1/43 or 1/48 scale vehicles. They are admittedly technically too big, but with the previously mentioned factors, they just look right to me. Modified 1/48 tanker with 28mm driver

I agree with the 1/48, 1/43 selection. Nice pix, too. |

I also agree with the 1/43-48 assessment:

Thanks all! Love the pics, especially the Ghost Busters car :) I'm getting into Pulp Spies (James Bond modern and Cold War era) and was looking into vehicles. Looks like I'll shoot for 1/43 or 48 scale. |

Post Apoc Ghostbusters! That is beeeautiful! @Gamerwithnoname Happy to help. When you are looking for vehicles, 1/43 a common scale for cars and 1/48 is more common for trucks. Best of luck in your search. If you live near a Dollar General they often have a Bburago brand of 1/43 cars. The wheels are kind of ugly, but the cars are nice. Also, Toys R Us often has them affordably under their "Fast Lane" store label. If you don't have any readily available, let me know, I think I may have a batch out on the porch that I'd be willing to sell. |

Search under "1:43 diecast car" on eBay, and you can usually get a few $5 USD hits. |
