I recently acquired a bunch of ESU ships for Full Thrust. They are the old sculpts. I am unable to figure out what ship this is:
Any ideas? |

Traveller Type-Y yacht by RAFM I think. G. |

That's correct. Link over on Tom Pope's page even has a photo: link |

it is on a full thrust base
but is not a gzg figure |

Yup. RAFM Traveller Yacht. On a Geo-Hex Full Thrust clock turn base. We starship gamers are such resourceful lifeforms (and some of us are ever so incorrigible)

Wow, thanks for the quick responses, guys. I may have to repaint them in some garish colors and use them as civilian ships then. |

Is this one of the RAFM Traveller that made it into the Silent Death line? I know most were 'non-Vilani', but I remember something similar in SD. Doug Edit: (and some of us are ever so incorrigible) I resemble that remark
PROUDLY! |
Goober | 04 Jul 2014 6:23 p.m. PST |
I don't think so. I haven't seen a Silent Death SSD for it, unlike some of the other Traveller ships that turned up in Universal Night Watch. G. |
BlackWidowPilot | 04 Jul 2014 9:09 p.m. PST |
Nope. Not that one I'm afraid, but trust me as you trust that I am irredeemably evil, if we can find a way to use it and the other "lost" RAFM Traveller ship minis under new names for SD:TNM, we will

Evil? Didn't you hear my cackle? Veritable conspiracy in the making

No need to repaint it unless you want to. I use the thing as a frigate/corvette. |
Mako11 | 05 Jul 2014 3:51 p.m. PST |
I'd be interested in seeing pics of any "lost" Traveller vessels, and/or any of those not lost, but once again available from any source. |
TheBeast | 05 Jul 2014 5:18 p.m. PST |
Old piccies? Tom Pope's (Includes Silent Death names) link Stuff of Legends link Doug |

Do the ships have any significant value? I find they don't really fit into what I have very well, though if they aren't worth much I'll just repaint them and use as civvies. |
TheBeast | 07 Jul 2014 5:15 a.m. PST |
Do the ships have any significant value? I've not seen any recently up for sale, so can't gauge. I don't think anything like enough to start the little one's college fund, but I'm sure many of would like one. Some of us, of course, will wait to see if Leland and Co. can get this back in production. ;->= Doug |

Some of us, of course, will wait to see if Leland and Co. can get this back in production. ;->= I do have these on my To Do list for the next tme I talk to Jack at RAFM
The Catch 22 will be the copyrighting, but then again, we've been using past iterations of some Traveller universe ship for years now, so I hope that these will also, er, fly as it were
Hate to waste perfectly good starship minis on principle as you all can well imagine

While not the rabid fan of SD many others are, I will echo concerns about 'too much on your plate'. However
;->= Thanks, sirrah! Doug |
