I remember learning of their contributions from the inclusion of the Brazilian division in the Avalon Hill game Anzio, when it first came out in 1969. I was disappointed that it had never been mentioned in any of my history classes in school. Rick |

There's also a pretty decent synopsis on Wiki: link At the end is an explanation of the "smoking snake" insignia. I have a Brazilian co-worker who has seen this and verified that it is what they are taught in school there. You can Google "Brazilian Expeditionary Force" for more sites and a bunch of pictures.
