No kidding. My very last AWI pack is now in its new home, one Pack of Peter Pig's light infantry to be used as my Ferguson's Rifles.
I think they'll work, still debating whether or not to cut off the bayonets since, apparently, the Ferguson weapon could accept a bayonet – need to go back and recheck sources. Now all I have to do is paint the lot. And, please, go ahead and hold your breath while I whip right through them. Oh, wait, no, don't do that, I might want some players in my games and it just might be a little while. I guess now I really do need to put forward a final tally of figures in the collection. Certainly north of 4,000. And, yes, like the customer at the hobby shop said when I picked them up this afternoon, it's a 'little' excessive. But, hey, what a way to celebrate the 4th of July just a tad early! Happy, happy, joy, joy. Many a years getting to this point. Hope not so long to get them all painted. Doh! |

Good choice for Ferguson's Rifles. I painted the similar Perry/Foundry figures green with black facings, and they are my go-to Loyalist guys. British Legion. etc. |

Hi John, Do you recall the set code for the Perry figures you painted? I was trying to think of what to use for loyalist units. Thank you. Matthew |

Haha no no how many times any of us said that, very seriously; "last pack purchased"

How do I add more to 96 battalions for continental side, 80 battalions for British side, 20 cavalry regiments, 44 artillery pieces, plus nearly 100 generals – and a few more bits besides like camp followers and pioneers? And, why oh why, would I add to that? Now, last pack ever for any period? Different story, of course. |

I don't remember whether it was Perry or Foundry figures that I used. They were in the jacket with plumed slouch hats. |

Thanks John, I'll look at the ranges and see. Do you have a picture of them you could post? |

Early morning writer -- sounds like it is now time for you to begin collection AWI figures in 28mm. Your 15mm AWI collection is, indeed, complete! |

Last pack
yeah, at least until somebody comes out with new figures I just HAVE to have! And that's not even counting my Nappy collection and other eras. |

I also have way too many unpainted miniatures lying about. I keep telling myself that I'll have plenty of time when I'm retired to paint them. I also justify my excessive purchases by reasoning that I won't have the spare cash to purchase them when I'm living on a fixed income. |

PVT641 – one full brigade of Spanish. Also, around 300 Indians available from my French and Indian War collection (currently the painting priority). Grossman, it is not I who blasphemes but the evil intending dBerczerk. I am true to the One True Scale (for me, so just go sit down and take some deep breathes you unholy lot). And for the unbelievers, my 5' x 12' gaming table is akin to you in the Unholy Scale of Oversized Miniatures to having a 10' x 24' table. So, with all due deference – phhhhhtttt! oh, sorry about the overspill |

Actually I think 10mm is the best, but I am too old to paint things that small. Any more birthdays for me and I will be moving to 54mm. |
