Pretty sure that's not 1/2400 scale. Probably closer to 1/35 scale

Although I would have tried to paint her with her barber pole scheme on the foredack, there's no denying she looks really good in more traditional colours. You have to hand it to those Italians, they knew how to make a graceful, elegant battleship, and Mr. Kostas knows a thing or two about building them in miniature too. |

About 2/3 way down the page at katsflyby.blogspot.com.ar you can see the original image (of a real carrier) which he used for inspiration. Note that there isn't much of a wake, presumably due to the fact that there is a speed limit for the Suez Canal. MH |
