Does anyone have a chart that shows as an example 1/72 is equal to X mms.

I am looking to use HO, 1/76 and 1/72, besauce they are cheaper, but was not sure what other miniatures I could use.

Thank you

Generally, 20mm figures are more or less compatible with 1/72.

For 1/72-1/76 is supposed to be about 20mm, but size of the mini's varies from manufacturer to manufatucrer. Maybe this will help:

There is a good comparison chart here:

It won't help, because the manufacturers will model "close enough", and call it what they want to anyway.

thank you all

How about 6mm? (1/300th)

You get a lot more tanks for the same amount of money...

Mitch (who is also cheap.)

I do play 6mm, 1/285, 1/300. That is my main area.

But my friends are in to larger scales and I am trying to see what fits.

I have a roman bireme 1/130 scale 24 1/2 inches long.How tall should the figures be?Who sells them?Thanks Walt

I use 1/87 scale armor from Roco with my old glory 15mm command decision vietnam minis, they go well together. I buy most of my structures for them, ie, VC villages, Firebases, in 20mm scale for the 15mm scale.
Cheers,
tom

mm scale
6 mm = 1/ 254
10 mm = 1/ 152
15 mm = 1/ 102
18 mm = 1/ 85
20 mm = 1/ 76
25 mm = 1/ 61
28 mm = 1/ 54

The above chart was using the theory that the average person is 5'10" tall. And if the scale is supposed to mean that a figure is xxMM tall from base of foot to eye then these are the mean heights (provided my math is correct). Now ofcourse the base adds to the overall heigth but this is also part of the debate. I use HO scale (1/87) scale building with my 15mm (which is about 1/100) as visually they go well together. I think the bottom line is that if it looks good use it. As for the Bireme I would try 10mm figures.
