This is going back a few years now, but I used to have a huge gallery of pics on my Battlegames website that I took during the Waterloo refight organised by "General de brigade" Dave Brown back in November 2008. Dave contacted me the other day and asked if I could fish them out, so I've created a Flickr album where you can see them all at link

With luck, Dave and other participants might turn up here to answer any questions, but the obvious first one is "15mm"!

That was a great weekend Henry. I was on the other table where we were playing a 28mm game with the AWI figures belonging to Giles and Eclaireur.

I guess after the first question – of scale, next is makers – and I think they are almost entirely AB / BH from the collections of Dave Brown and the rest of the Loughton Strike Force.

Glorious!

I remember Henry talking about this on the sadly defunct 'View from the Veranda" podcast.

South Mimms will forever be a motorway service station to me so this comes as a pleasant surprise.

IIRC the lighting conditions at this game were difficult so we must congratulate on some inspiring photos.

Yes quite outstanding – the battlefield looks wonderfully authentic and the figs are lovely. Thanks for posting.

That was a great weekend, great company, lots of laughs and a substantial quantity of beer.

And some skilled sculptors playing the games, as well. grin

Yes a great weekend and a stupendous hangover… @:(

I was playing the truly epic Long Island game, but a lot of my Napoleonics were on the Waterloo table, including those French line lancers in the photo above. I also supplied most of the Brunswickers and Hanoverians, Saxe-Weimar's brigade, Netherlands light cavalry, a stack of Prussians and other odds and sods, such as British generals.

Dave if you ever feel like selling my old Hanoverians, give me first refusal! :)

I think Dave's credit card is still recovering from having to underwrite the entire booking in advance!

Ah, so he'll be looking for a sale… :)

Thanks for posting the link to the gallery. What a great looking game! And it sounds form the comments like it was as fun to play as it is great to look at.

Whole armies of AB/BH… in my dreams!!

Seb
