I was pleasantly surprised with this storage box and thought it proper to review it on my blog.

I wonder if they sell these in the USA. They're still cheaper than a lot of the miniature cases. And I have a lot of miniatures.

The Warstore sells a similar one called the Econobox. It holds 66 28mm figs, and sells for $13. USD I just bought a bundle of 5 myself.

The Warstore econobox is terrific. As I recall, there is a deal for multiple units as well.

Very nice, anyone know of a UK based supplier?.

Lads, check out U-line. I buy these boxes in bundles of 50 (man, I really have a lot of figures) for less than 3 bucks each. hundreds of sizes available and they are crushproof.

You can line them with foam or use magnetic sheeting, as I do.

Where do you think that the wargames companies get them from?

nevinsrip, I think the value for most gamers comes not so much in the outer shell, but in the internal compartments that separate and protect the miniatures. I too have made my own internals for miniatures storage but I recognize that labor is time I lost in which I could have done something else.

My experience is that all these solutions eventually fail where the gamer needs help most: the larger non-standard size miniatures. So every gamer needs to develop the skill to make custom size cases with protective inserts to fit models.

I've been switching to Plano tackle boxes. They are certainly inexpensive, versatile, very rigid more than cardboard, and come in different convenient sizes, but what I'm finding I like the most is they are clear plastic so I can see what's inside, and they take labels very well. I supplement with foam from an upholstery store which cuts with scissors and if necessary glues with hot glue or fabric glue.

(For large models I've also found some Tupperware kitchen storage boxes that fit my preferred form factor.)

The warstore box has very small slots inside. I had problems fitting 28mm that were firing or marching with bayonets attached. Works ok with more passive 25mm figures.
