To paint something so small with such detail to me is amazing.
Beautifully done Sir.

I love the animation of those guys – all those flashing sabers!

I love your work on these, though one thing that keeps popping into my head as I look at them is that the terrain seems too big – the earth, grass, and tufts all seem out of scale.

To make my criticism constructive, I offer the following:
1) Try a modeling paste like this: link instead of what appears to be a coarse ballast that makes the ground surface look really chunky.

2) Maybe switch to a fine grass like from Woodland Scenics for grass instead of the static grass. In some shots that grass looks like a tangle of green branches instead of long grass. Add fine turf in patches on top to get the effects of longer grass. link

Advice is free so take it or leave it but I think refining the terrain a bit would help make those gorgeous paint jobs really pop.

Thankyou for the comments.

flashman: thankyou for having a look at my blog at the based units, I generally paint for other people and they complete the process with basing and I must say it is to a very high standard, my own basing is slightly differant so I have posted a picture below I tend to use the baccus basing system but with some added vegatation for effect I also use a fine sand. Hope you liked the blog and the forum.

The chasseur a cheval are not based flashman was looking at other units on my blog .
