We played another of CS Grant's tabletop testers this week. See here for the details link

Enjoy, I hope!

Nice

It made me get out my copy of Scenarios for Wargames

I see that you don't follow the force guidelines – it's not a criticism

How do you handle the balance between the two sides?

Molesworth126 Jun 2014 4:38 a.m. PST

Thanks Shedman. The force guidelines don't translate into Black Powder very easily given when the scenarios were written. Its the idea behind the scenario that I like rather than the forces involved in the original. Getting the balance right is just about understanding the rules and the period and good old wetting the finger, holding it in the air and thinking, "does that look about right?" I also like to get as many of my collection out on the table as is feasible. Seems to have worked well so far. we shall see with the next teaser I try.

Excellent effort. A period I don't do but always wish I did when I see things like this.

Excellent -who makes these French Infantry? They are chunky -I like them.

As things panned out the cavalry were more often than not rifle fodder rather than cannon fodder!!!

Molesworth127 Jun 2014 6:51 a.m. PST

Mashrewba, thanks. I picked the French I think you are referring to off eBay. I think they may be Brittannia Miniatures but can't be sure.

mashrewba28 Jun 2014 6:04 a.m. PST

That's what I thought -I've got one and it's very Britanniaesque -they must have done them for the Crimean range but I've never seen them in the Britannia lists.
Anyway I love your set up.
