or at least it was. There is a sequel to what appears might be a series also avail for $2.99 USD or so, so even if V1 is no longer Free, it's at least cheap enough to buy and make a decision on. The series seems to be about a (British) Officer who somehow ends up at Vienna in 1683 and then latches on to Eugene of Savoy from there on out. Might be a pretty good way to learn more about this great general, which the book posits as better than Marlborough. If anyone has read this book, please chime in. |

No, sorry, but go to the HISTORY book section and it should be on the first or second page. Failing that, go to Amazon.com and search for Dragoon (1)
you'll see an early 18th Century Dragoon officer on the cover
watercolor I suspect. Sorry, my home PC is too old and slow and I forgot to get the direct link when I visited Dailyfreebooks.com yesterday. |

I looked on DailyFree
the book was up for only a few days, but it should be cheap on Amazon. |

I picked up the second book (not realizing earlier it was a two-parter) today from Amazon
$1.50/book on a (relatively) obscure man and general as Eugene was, well worth the price. |
